Representatives and players from eight EU member states competed in target shooting at the Castle Square in front of the City Hall of Wiesbaden, with predominantly young footballers. Prior to this, on May 5, the Europa-Union organized a large counter-demonstration against the performance of Russian singer Netrebko at the Hessian State Theatre in Wiesbaden, and on May 10, they held a Europe information event with the EU Ambassador to Germany, Dr. Jörg Wojahn. The UENFW - Union of European national football teams of winemakers e.V. was initially received in the festival hall of the City Hall by Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende and Peter H. Plenty of wine from the eight participating nations was provided from the Riesling Bulli of the Balthasar Ress winery. Robert Lönarz, the president of the Wine Eleven, performed as well as Mayor Mende and the German Wine Princess Juliane Schäfer, who was also present in Wiesbaden. Jürgen Fladung, Vice President of SV Wehen Wiesbaden, also performed well. The UENFW - Union of European national football teams of winemakers e.V. is an alliance of wine producers and wine enthusiasts from eight wine-producing EU member states. Their motto aligns with the fundamental values of the EU. "Democracy, Peace, Freedom, Justice, Tolerance, and Fairness" are our core values. That's why I am grateful to the European Wine Eleven and the capital city of Wiesbaden for this collaborative action for our united Europe," said Peter H. Niederelz during his welcome speech.
